Active Ministries

• Collect food and personal items for The Anchor: the food pantry and thrift shop in Castleton.

• Mitten Tree: At Christmas time, we collect hats, gloves, mittens and scarves and take them to Doors of Hope in West Sand Lake for distribution to those in need of them.

• Adopt-a-Senior: At Christmas time, items requested by seniors through the Rensselaer County Department for the Aging are purchased to provide gifts for them.

Passive Ministries

• We sponsor Boy Scout Troop #522 providing meeting space and other support as needed.

• We provide meeting and event space for East Schodack Garden Club.

• We provide financial support to local charitable organizations such as CCMS/The Anchor, St.Paul’s Center, and others.

• We provide financial support to wider levels of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America such as the Upstate New York Synod and the Hudson Mohawk Conference.

• We provide financial support to help combat world hunger through the Upstate New York Synod.
